Information on accessibility
KIX Service Software GmbH endeavors to make the user information for the KIX 18 Service Management System accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
To this end, we are constantly implementing measures to improve accessibility and the user experience with the website. These include, for example:
We make use of the advice of digital accessibility experts.
The website was subjected to an independent external accessibility test.
Employees have been and are being sensitized to the topic of digital accessibility.
Accessibility requirements have been integrated into relevant internal processes.
We carry out automated and manual tests internally.
Scope of application
This declaration applies to the digital user information for the KIX 18 software, including all subpages. The website can be accessed at the following URL: https://www.docs.kixdesk.com. The offer provides information on the use and administration of the software and its extensions (including Self Service Portal and Field Agent App).
This declaration does not apply to the software itself.
Date and method
This declaration was created on: 02. 06. 2026
This declaration was last checked on: 02. 06. 2026
Test methods: Self-assessment, in which the pages and functions of the website were tested on a representative basis. Testing was carried out in current versions of the Chrome, Edge and Firefox browsers and with the NVDA screen reader.
Current status of accessibility
According to the last assessment, the above-mentioned website is partially accessible. However, the following points still deviate from this.
The website and the PDFs are generated automatically by the Component Content Management System (CCMS) we use. We have limited influence on the HTML elements used on the website and on the PDF output. Semantic markup may therefore not be complete.
Non-accessible content
PDF downloads: not yet fully PDF/UA-compliant (e.g. missing tags, alternative texts, color contrast)
Images and screenshots: partly still without alternative texts and descriptions.
Color contrasts: Individual text and page elements may fall below the minimum contrast ratio.
Semantic information (Aria tags): partially incomplete.
Explanations of the operating concept
You can operate the user information for the KIX 18 software with assistive technologies and carry out interactions. It is possible to operate the website using the keyboard. The element that receives the focus is highlighted visually.
Read mode and read aloud function
You can activate the reading mode of your browser and use the browser's read-aloud function.
In read mode, website elements such as videos or navigation bars are hidden so that only the text is visible. Depending on the browser you are using, you can adjust the font, font size and background color to make the text easy for you to read. In common browsers, the reading mode also contains a read-aloud function that allows you to have the text read aloud.
How you open read mode depends on your browser. You can find information on this in the documentation for your browser.
Orientation using ARIA Landmark Roles and headings
Some areas are semantically marked up (ARIA Landmark Roles) so that you can navigate within the page using these markups. However, the semantic markup is still incomplete for technical reasons. We are in contact with the manufacturer of our Component Content Management System (CCMS) in order to remove this barrier as quickly as possible.
Using the main navigation
The hyperlinks of the main navigation can be selected via the keyboard control using the tab key. For individual navigation areas, it may be necessary to use the arrow keys.
Using the page navigation
On pages with extensive page content, there is a sidebar on the right. It contains navigation to the page headings. You can click on one of the hyperlinks to jump to its content.
Expandable elements (accordions)
For reasons of clarity, some pages contain collapsed sections (accordions). These can be expanded by clicking on the respective section heading. At the bottom of the right-hand sidebar there is a button to expand all accordions so that the entire page content is displayed in full. Clicking the button again collapses all the accordions. The button is labeled "Expand all content" or "Collapse all content".
Language and inclusion
In this user information, we use the generic masculine in a neutral sense. With this grammatically masculine form, we address all genders equally. We do not use gender variants such as "agents" or "users" for reasons of readability and text comprehension. We also deliberately avoid using gender asterisks (*), colons (:) or underscores (_) in order to preserve readability and audibility for screen readers.
Feedback and contact details
If you identify barriers or would like to obtain information about accessible content, you can use the feedback option at the bottom of each page.
There is a feedback option in the form of a hyperlink at the bottom of every page of this website. The link is labeled with the text "Would you like to give us feedback? Click here to suggest changes."
After clicking on the link text, the standard e-mail program set up on your computer or mobile device will open. The mail view that opens already contains the required address data. In addition, the subject line already contains information about the page from which you accessed the email. This allows you to send us a separate notification for each page of user information. When writing your notification text, please indicate at the beginning that you would like to report a barrier so that we can prioritize your message accordingly. Also be as specific as possible about which element you want to report and why.
Your message will be received by our technical department as a ticket so that we can take care of your request and respond to you. We usually respond within 72 hours on working days.
