Basics
This chapter provides you with an overview of the structure of KIX and is intended to familiarize you with the user interface in the Admin module.

The user information for the Administration area is based both on the structure of the table of contents and the navigation links in the chapters on the structure of the KIX menu tree
We do not explicitly state that a menu item is located below the menu item and use, for example, "Navigate to → " instead of "Navigate to → → ".
Below you will find an overview of possible keyboard shortcuts and key combinations in KIX:
Button/key combination | Function |

[Esc] | Closes the dialog or the selection area without saving (similar to "Cancel"). The field loses focus. |
[Enter] | Selects the currently highlighted value; confirms and closes the field. In the single select field: Change to the next field. |
[Space] | In the single select field: Select the entry and close the field. In the multiselect field: Selects or deselects the focused value, leaves the field open. |
[Tab] | In the single select field: Selects the entry, closes the field and switches to the next field. In the multi-select field: Switch to the next function element (field or button); sets the focus in the list filter. |
[Shift]+[Tab] | Jumps to the previous field. |
[Shift]+#[Navigation] | Marks all values that are focused. |
[Ctrl] | Shifts the focus of the keyboard control to the dialog. |
[Ctrl]+[Tab] | Switch tabs in the browser (if several tabs are open). |
[Ctrl]+[Enter] | Save / Start search |
[Ctrl]+[Right arrow key] | Next page |
[Ctrl]+[Left arrow key] | Previous page |
[End] | Jumps to the last value in the selection field. |
[Pos1] | Jumps to the first value in the selection field. |
[Image up] or [PGUP] | Jumps up 10 values in the selection field. |
[Image below] or [PGDN] | Jumps down 10 values in the selection field. |
Note
The keyboard control only works if the focus is also in the dialog/form or in the relevant element. If the focus is elsewhere, the control will not respond either.
To edit a form with several pages, the navigation changes as follows:
[Ctrl]+[left arrow] - jumps to the beginning of the word
[Ctrl]+[right arrow] - jumps to the end of the word
It is not possible to switch between the form pages with [Ctrl]+[Arrow key left/right].
It is not possible to switch between the individual tabs using the keyboard.
